REMOTE CAPTIONING

Remote Captioning is a state-of-the-art service which delivers real-time subtitles of meetings and conference calls to clients anywhere in the world.  Specialist technology enables speech to be converted into text at a remote location by a Speech to Text Reporter or Electronic Notetaker.  The text is then instantly streamed back to the event where it will be displayed on a laptop/computer screen, iPhone, iPad, or BlackBerry via a secure website. 

There are a number of scenarios for delivering Remote Captioning:

• the captioner attends the meeting and streams the text to the client(s) at a remote location
• the client attends the meeting and the captioner, located elsewhere, streams the text direct to the attendees
• both captioner and client(s) can be located remotely with the captioner streaming the text to the client(s) 
• simultaneous viewing at multiple locations

 

 

For conference calls, the client dials into the call, reads the displayed text and can respond directly to the other participants in real-time.  A full transcript of the call is available at no extra charge.
